Learning with Essex Wildlife Trust Essex Wildlife Trust provides unique opportunities for children, young people and adults, enabling them to experience the beauty and natural wealth of our reserves and to understand important issues relating to the conservation of our county's wildlife.
The Essex Wildlife Trust's People and Wildlife team are a group of highly dedicated and passionate members of staff and volunteers who directly educate over 44,000 people each year. Interpretation boards, trail guides, events, visitor centres and work parties all enhance the people and wildlife work of the Trust.

All formal activities are national curriculum linked and cover areas in the science, geography, citizenship and history curricula.
We offer site field visits and outreach work to your school covering a wide range of out of classroom needs. Six of our visitor centres have education staff who lead important outside learning for a range of different ages and abilities, two members of staff lead our Forest School activities and two members of staff are responsible for schools outreach - coming to visit you at school. We request the following donations: £4.00 per child - early years, infant and primary £6.00 per child - secondary pupils £7.50 per student for further / higher education. A deposit will be required to confirm booking.

We offer a range of activities during the school holidays for children of all ages. Activity sessions include: pick up and drop off sessions for children 8 years and over, family half and full day sessions and practical conservation sessions for 11 to 16 year olds.
