Field visits to nature reserves
All of our visitor centres have highly qualified, experienced and professional education staff and volunteers. These staff welcome visits from schools and Essex Wildlife Trust is keen for those attending to experience a sense of joy at being out of doors and an insight into the complexities of the living world. Each visitor centre has certain areas of interest and specialism.
As a teacher you can be confident that each visit will give you essential backup to classroom teaching of the many areas of the curriculum. There are a range of activities for teachers to select, so that they can tailor them to their own objectives. Teachers should discuss these with staff before finalising their plans for the day.
