Awarded High Quality Education Badge

Sunday 16th December 2012

Essex Wildlife Trust has recently achieved the Quality Badge awarded by the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom (CLOTC). The Quality Badge is a national award that recognises organisations that provide schools with good quality educational experiences and manage risk effectively.

The award indicates that Essex Wildlife Trust understands schools' needs and can tailor programmes to meet both current curriculum requirements and any specific requirements of the school and provide good pre and post visit support and information to maximise the learning experience for the young people involved. Essex Wildlife Trust works with 500 schools per year delivering quality educational programmes to over 32,000 young people. The CLOTC Quality Badge reduces the red tape associated with learning outside the classroom, thereby making it easier for teachers to organise educational visits and provides assurance that their chosen provider has met the six nationally recognised quality indicators.
