  • Helping us save Cottage Plantation

    Fantastic news! We are very pleased to say that we have reached our target of £44,000 towards the purchase of Cottage Plantation - a fantastic woodland site in Daws Heath. Cottage Plantation is in a complex of ancient woodlands and has many native species of trees. We aim to acquire this site: raising the last £44,000 will, together with grants, complete the purchase.

  • Ingrebourne Valley Appeal

    We are nearly there! Please help us raise the last £8,000 towards the Ingrebourne Valley Appeal. We have received the fantastic news that the Heritage Lottery Fund has awarded £736,000 to the Ingrebourne Valley Heritage Centre. We have also been awarded £455,000 from Veolia Havering Riverside Trust. We have now raised £1.8M from various grants and donations. We need to raise the last £8,000 in cash to match the grants and enable us to build the Heritage Centre.

  • Song Thrush Garden Survey - Update

    Earlier this year, Essex Wildlife Trust ran a survey asking residents in the Daws Heath & Belfairs Living Landscape (north-west of Leigh-on-Sea), to report sightings of Song Thrushes in their gardens. We received more than 300 responses; thank you to all who took part.
