Essex Wildlife Trust, through its trading company Essex Wildlife Sales Ltd, has sold products in our visitor centres for over 20 years, and we now offer a selection online. It means our customers can now shop from wherever they may, and offers another way to support out charitable work.
Many of our products will help our customers enjoy study and understand wildlife and the countryside; many other products will stimulate interest and generate profile for the work we do.
The aim of our shops is to generate income and enhance people’s enjoyment of the countryside. While we do this we endeavour to support sustainable products and companies who have sustainable policies. The provenance of our range is important; we will not buy from companies that can not evidence origin. We also encourage our suppliers to use packaging that can be recycled or reused. There are products in our range that do have an impact on the environment; we know that our customers wish to purchase these products; we also believe that we can influence the suppliers of these products by continuing to work with them.
Run by our staff and volunteers, all profits from the online shop will go straight back to Essex Wildlife Trust, enabling us to continue our work to protect Essex Wildlife and Essex countryside for the people of Essex.
