This walk follows the sea wall as the tide is rising to give a good chance of seeing wading birds at relatively close range feeding on the salt marsh and mud flats.

About the event

Wintering ducks and geese may be present, including Brent Geese for which Hamford Water is an internationally important habitat. Please be aware that this walk will take about 2½ hours and is about 3 miles in length. The paths and sea wall are uneven and can be very muddy in places. Please wear suitable footwear and appropriate clothing, bring some water and don’t forget your binoculars.
