Can you volunteer for a few hours to help watch the avocet eggs at Two Tree Island? For the last 2 years, a 24-hour volunteer surveillance effort has stopped thieves interfering with these important nesting birds. If you want to make a difference, and take part in some really rewarding birdwatching, please call Essex Wildlife Trust on 01621 862960. No specialist skills needed, and guidance given.

Guided walks, displays, refreshments, sales stalls, raffle, avocet watch. Something for all the family, 10.30am - 4pm, admission free!

All are welcome to these events. Bring packed lunches and wear strong footwear & wind/waterproof clothing where appropriate. In addition, there are work parties held at Two Tree Island EWT reserve on each 2nd Sunday of the month from 10.00 'till 13.00.
