Essex Habitats
Essex Wildlife Trust's survey work reveals that, despite the massive pressures for development, Essex still has many rich and diverse habitats for wildlife. The Essex coast in particular is of international importance for wintering birds, and Essex also has many inland areas that are rich in wildlife woods, wetlands and a small remnant of heathland. But even roadside verges and urban landscapes have their value as well.
