Conservation for Young People

Essex Wildlife Trust offers a number of opportunities for young conservation volunteers.  Programmes include Wildlife Rangers Club or Green Bunch Conservation Work Parties for young people.  It's an excellent way to take an active role in wildlife conservation on the nature reserve, assisting with habitat management, developing skills to suit a range of hand tools, habitat construction, increased wildlife knowledge, helping with public events and being able to join a team of enthusiastic and like minded people who share an interest for wildlife and the outdoors.  If you are under 18 why not give volunteering a try.

"Green Bunch is a fantastic way to not only make new friends and have fun while learning, but to also help and protect the environment in which we live".
Sam Dudley, Green Bunch Volunteer

Conservation opportunities are available at Abberton Reservoir nature reserve, Hanningfield Reservoir nature reserve and Bedfords Park.
