Each site offers unique opportunities to learn about and explore the natural environment, with modern classroom facilities and resources.

Chafford Gorges Nature Discovery Park has over 200 acres of green space for you to explore and is one of the most varied and biodiverse nature reserves in Essex. The four trails outlined below will help guide you around the reserve revealing the hidden gems and rich history of the site.

We have 10 Nature Discovery Centres across Essex, each a perfect gateway to the natural world.

Situated in Belfairs Park, the centre features a wildlife-inspired gift shop and a café providing a range of hot and cold refreshments.

Set in Ingrebourne Valley, the centre boasts a wildlife-inspired gift shop alongside a café offering hot and cold drinks.

The Thorndon Nature Discovery Centre is situated in Thorndon Country Park. There are some fantastic walks through ancient woodland and historic deer parks which lie close alongside recently planted woodland and a landscape of small pastures.
