Opening: Open daily except Mondays, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Also open Mondays during school holidays and throughout the Summer. Current opening hours are 9am - 4pm, 6 days a week.

Set in the stunning grounds of Bedfords Park, an historic parkland site owned and managed by the London Borough of Havering. This Local Nature Reserve affords fantastic views over London, and the Visitor Centre, opened in June 2003, offers visitors a really warm welcome and the opportunity to find out about the wildlife within the park. The 215 acre park includes many valuable habitats such as mature woodland, species rich wildflower and hay meadows, ponds, streams and marshy areas.

Booking is essential for most centre events, so make sure you call or visit the centre in advance to avoid disappointment.

Cancellation of Events: If we cancel an event your donation relating to the event will be refunded. If you cancel an event booking more than 48 hours beforehand and ask for your donation to be refunded or transferred to an alternative event, we will be happy to do so. If you cancel an event booking less than 48 hours beforehand please do not ask for your donation to be refunded, because by then we will be committed to run the event and unable to fill your place/s.

Come along between 10am-12pm or 1pm-3pm
£5 donation per box and ADVANCE BOOKING ONLY

And all weekend..... -we will be on hand to offer advice on looking after your garden birds. -there will be pine cone bird feeders to make. ( no need to book for this just turn up) -nest boxes, bird food & feeders to buy.

A drop off and pick up session for children that are 8 years+ Children are fully supervised by Essex Wildlife Trust staff and volunteers. Children spend the whole day at Bedfords Park doing wildlife and nature themed activities. Takes place every Tuesday in the school holidays. £10 donation per child. Activity : COPPICING THE HAZEL WOOD Our regular conservation day for young volunteers. Normally takes place on Fridays in school holidays. An opportunity for young adults to volunteer at Bedfords Park, meet new people, learn new skills and help look after this beautiful park. All activities supervised. Bring a packed lunch and wear suitable clothing and footwear for working outdoors. Suitable for secondary school age young adults (11 years and older) Booking in advance essential.
