Every year at the Trusts AGM we highlight the outstanding contribution of an EWT volunteer by presenting them with the Ray Marsh Award.

Safeguarding

Essex Wildlife Trust is committed to practices that protect everyone and consider that safeguarding of all is everyone’s responsibility. Every EWT volunteer undertakes Safeguarding training as part of the induction process, proportionate to their role. Thank-you for your vigilance and helping to keep children, young people and vulnerable adults safe.

“People are at the heart of everything that Essex Wildlife Trust does for wildlife and no one more so than our amazing volunteers. As an organisation, we simply couldn’t function if it wasn’t for the unsung heroes who help keep many of our centres, reserves and offices running on a daily basis.”
Andrew Impey, CEO
