New Volunteer Registration Form

Thank you for registering to volunteer with Essex Wildlife Trust.

This form is for people aged 18 or older who have already expressed interest in a volunteer opportunity, attended a meet and greet with the Volunteer Manager and would like to officially register as an Essex Wildlife Trust Volunteer.

Safeguarding

Do you have any convictions, cautions, reprimands or warnings which are unspent or spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974?
For your volunteering role, the Trust is required to check your criminal record. Are you happy for Essex Wildlife Trust to carry out an Enhanced DBS check with a barred list check?
Have you been the subject of any current or previous investigation or enquiry into the abuse of children or vulnerable adults or other inappropriate behaviour?

Volunteer Agreement

This agreement is binding in honour only, is not intended to be a legally binding contract between us and may be cancelled at any time at the discretion of either party. Neither of us intends any employment relationship to be created either now or at any time in the future.

This volunteering agreement out the core principles for volunteering with Essex Wildlife Trust and its subsidiaries and the support and commitments that Volunteers may expect from the Trust.

The aim of involving volunteers in the work of the Trust is to:
  • Ensure Essex Wildlife Trust’s aims and priorities are achieve.
  • Bring new skills, knowledge and enthusiasm to the Trust which complements those of the staff, so that together     we are able to be more successful.
  • Increase the Trust’s contact with local communities throughout Essex.
  •  Ensure the resources of the Trust are used efficiently to maintain a sustainable future for the Trust.
These aims are underpinned by the following promise to our volunteers:
