Danbury Ridge Nature Reserves are a wonderful mosaic of woodland, common, heathland, streams and bogs
Hear from one of our wonderful volunteers to tell you more about volunteering on a nature reserve.
January is always good for birds at Abberton Reservoir: a birding hotspot whose powerful flame often burns brightest when temperatures are at their lowest.
Spring is arriving at Abberton, albeit slowly. The weather is cloudy and blustery. There is the beginnings of leaves on Hawthorn and blossom on Blackthorn showing in the young woodland.
Lots of butterflies, bees and other insects to be seen around Abberton Reserve at the moment especially on the wildflower areas and woodland edges.
