About the event

Join our community ranger, John Attiwell, for a field-based session, looking at some of Essex’s dragonflies at our Hanningfield nature reserve, next to Essex’s largest Reservoir, compiling genuine wildlife records of our sightings. Weather permitting, we hope to encounter Common Darters, Migrant Hawkers and Willow Emeralds, the latter a 21st-century arrival in our county. Should the weather not be on our side, we will hold a classroom session to learn about some of these magnificent creatures instead.
