About the event

This walk to the remote Stone Point peninsular will benefit anyone who has wanted to venture up there, but was concerned about becoming stranded or lost. We may be fortunate to discover some of the wintering birds that inhabit the marshes, sometimes in spectacular numbers, though sightings are unpredictable and cannot be guaranteed. This walk starts at low tide but the incoming tide pushes the birds closer up the beach.

The walk is approximately five miles and will involve walking over soft sand, salt marsh and mud, please wear suitable footwear, appropriate clothing and bring some water with you. Most importantly don’t forget your binoculars!
