About the event

In a crossover event with our Marine Team, join Community Ranger John Attiwell for a celebration of the Blackwater Estuary, where he will explore the unique fauna of this iconic Essex river through the seasons, and introduce an exciting, Environment Agency funded project to make Beneficial Use of Dredged Sediment from Harwich Haven to provide flood resilience in a changing climate, a project which hopes to welcome back some key (and remarkably beautiful) species of shorebird to the estuary.

With thanks to our Project Partners, the Environment Agency, the RSPB, and Harwich Haven Authority, and the hardworking crews of the globetrotting dredger fleet which serves the Harbour. Keep an eye out for our pop-ups and for future engagement events around this innovative project.

This webinar is free to attend, and at checkout, you’ll have the option to select a free ticket or contribute a donation of your choice. All donations are greatly appreciated and help support our vital conservation work. Thank you for your support!
