About the event

In an all-new webinar, John will examine the ecology and behavior of some of our most popular garden birds, the Blue Tit, Great Tit, and House Sparrow.

For many, watching these species can be a starting point for a lifetime in the glorious world of birding, and watching garden birds enriches many of our lives, whether expert twitchers or curious beginners.

Learn about the occasionally shocking diets and complex personal lives of these familiar little birds, their varying conservation fortunes, and the theory behind their strikingly different population trends, and about how to manage your garden or community space for these birds, ahead of the Big Garden Birdwatch.

Look out for the follow-up event, in which we will head down to one of our visitors’ centers, and do a Big Garden Birdwatch of our very own.

This webinar is free to attend, and at checkout, you’ll have the option to select a free ticket or contribute a donation of your choice. All donations are greatly appreciated and help support our vital conservation work. Thank you for your support!
