About the event

Join us on your next family day out for a coastal adventure with our friendly leaders this Easter school holiday. Look for marine wildlife and collect some natural items to take back to our pop-up laboratory, where you'll get to learn more about your finds with the help of one of our knowledgeable leaders.

The tide will be in, so we'll be using binoculars to look for birds and seals from the sea wall and collect water samples. Back at the centre, investigate and experiment in our pop-up laboratory. Use microscopes and simple experiments to find out all about the rocks, fossils, and shells from our shoreline and the adaptations of the plants and creatures that live here.

The beach is accessed via steep stairs and is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. The car park is managed by Tendering District Council and parking charges apply.

❗Toilets and refreshments are available at the Nature Discovery Centre. For more details about site facilities, please visit the Naze information page – you'll find the link in the address section, just below the event title.
