About the event

Time for a treasure hunt with a difference – what wonders has nature provided? Join us this Easter school holiday, where we will go on the hunt for all the senses; looking for colours, exploring textures, listening for sounds, and perhaps even giving a few things a smell! We will see what beautiful bugs, leaves, and flowers we can find on this Spring Scavenger hunt. We might even getto  making with some of the things we find.

FAQs

🌳Will the activities take place outside? 

Yes, activities will be outside. The crafts will take place in our shelter, so it is protected from rain - but still outdoors. 

🌍Where are you based? 

We are based in North Essex, local to Colchester.

🥾What should we wear? 

Please dress for being outside - lots of layers. If it has been raining, the paths will be muddy and have lots of puddles, so wellies or boots are advised.

☕Is there a Cafe or shop? 

The visitor centre has a shop and café serving hot and cold drinks, snacks, ice cream, and light lunches. 

🐕‍🦺Can we bring a dog? 

Assistance dogs are welcome at our events. 

♿Will the event be accessible? 

Our trail follows one of our accessible gravel paths, so it is suitable for buggies and wheelchairs. There is also ramp access to the shelter
