Lucy will guide you through making your very own Straw Beltane Lady & Dollies. Learn about working with straw and the heritage endangered craft of corn dolly making! All materials provided.

About the event
You will learn a 4 straw plaiting technique to make a ‘Beltane Dolly', a corn dolly design specially created by your tutor, Lucy, for this time of the year, the ribbons running down the centre represent the Maypole.
You will then go on to create your own Straw Lady (which could represent the May Queen or a goddess if you wanted!).
You will be able to decorate your piece with ribbon and dried flowers. These figures have such characters and vary so much according to the person who makes them!
