About the event

Join us this half term for a fun and creative family-friendly bird feeder workshop, perfect for families. In this session, youโ€™ll learn how to make your own bird feeder, which you'll get to take home to support our feathered friends in your own garden.

This half-term nature activity is a great opportunity to get children involved in nature, learn about different garden birds, and discover how actions we take at home can make a big difference for wildlife. Our team will provide guidance, materials, and interesting facts along the way, making this an enjoyable and educational experience for all ages.

All materials are provided, and no prior experience is needed โ€” just come along and enjoy a memorable half term wildlife event together.

FAQs

๐Ÿ“Where do we meet?

Meet outside the Nature Discovery Centre, which is a short walk from the car park and main entrances.

๐ŸฅพWhat should we wear?

Most of our events are fully outdoors, please come dressed for the weather.  We recommend layers (top and bottom), which can get mucky. Wellies (with thick socks) and waterproofs are a good shout if you have them.

We will supply all food, and you will be able to share any allergens when completing the booking form.

๐Ÿฅœ What about allergens?

You will be able to share any allergens and food preferences upon booking.

๐ŸŒWhere are you based?

We are located between Hornchurch, Upminster, and Romford.

๐Ÿš—Is there parking?

Yes. We have a large free car park.

๐Ÿš‡Can we get to you on public transport?

Yes.  We are less than a mileโ€™s walk from Hornchurch Tube Station (District Line).  We are also served by the 252 and 256 bus routes.

Yes. Our Ingrebourne Valley Nature Discovery Centre has toilets (including accessible toilet and baby changing facilities), a shop and cafรฉ serving hot and cold drinks, snacks, ice cream and light lunches.
