Event details
About the event
Join our Wilder Learning team this Easter school holiday for a family-friendly evening walk through our woodland and around the lake. As the sun begins to set, we’ll head into the woods to look and listen for the signs of wildlife, discovering what comes alive after dark.
Families will enjoy a guided wildlife walk, learning how to use bat detectors to search for and identify bats, while also exploring other nocturnal creatures that call the woods home. This outdoor Easter holiday activity is a great way for children and adults to connect with nature together and experience wildlife in a whole new way.
Does not include a trail or easter eggs.Suitable for 5 years plus
FAQs
📍Where do we meet?
Meet in the Community Garden, which is just opposite to the car park entrance.
🥾What should we wear?
Most of our events are fully outdoors, and you need to come dressed for the weather. We recommend layers (top and bottom), which can get mucky. Wellies (with thick socks) and waterproofs are a good shout if you have them.
🌍Where are you based?
We are located just off the A127 near Basildon.
🚗Is there parking?
Yes. We have a large free car park.
🚇Can we get to you on public transport?
Yes. We are just under 2 miles walk from Laindon Station and under 1 mile walk from the nearest bus stop.
🚻Are there toilets?
Yes. Our Langdon Nature Discovery Centre has toilets, shop and café serving hot and cold drinks, snacks, ice cream and light lunches.
🐕🦺Can we bring a dog?
Assistance dogs are welcome at our events.
