About the event

The small mammal traps will have been set. We need to collect them, empty them, and see if any mice and voles are living on our nature reserve as we learn a little more about these lovely creatures. We will then go on an adventure inspired by the Brambly Hedge stories by Jill Barklem and make a mouse of our own.
Recommended for age 4+

Children and adults require a ticket to attend this event. Please note that this event is recommended for children aged 4+.

🐁Are the mice hurt?

No, these are specially designed mammal traps that give them a bed and some food for the night, before we release them safely in the morning.

🌍Where are you based?

We are based in North Essex, local to Colchester.

🥜My Child Has Allergies. Will they be able to eat the snack?

Allergen information is provided by you at the time of booking- we will make sure there is a suitable option for participants who have provided allergen details on their booking.
