About the event

A seasonal session that explores wild spaces and celebrates Spring! Connect with nature, each other, and your inner child at our seasonal group, which aims to build a safe and wild community for women. This event may include site walks, so sturdy footwear is advised. Learn new skills and enjoy lunch over a campfire. (Please note fires are weather-dependent.) Details and ideas of what can be cooked over the fire will be sent prior to the event.

📍Where do we meet?

Hanningfield Nature Discovery Centre

🥾What should we wear?

Most of our events are fully outdoors, and you need to come dressed for the weather.  We recommend layers (top and bottom), which can get mucky.  Wellies (with thick socks) and waterproofs are a good shout if you have them. 

🔥What should we bring? Is food provided?

Weather permitting, we will have a campfire at the end of the session.  You are welcome to bring something to toast. Ideas include:  crumpets, little malt loaves, toasting tea cakes, sweet waffles, brioche, fruit, e.g, pineapple/mango.  Anything you can warm through on a stick, really – we provide toasting forks.  No uncooked meat or nuts, please.

🌍Where are you based?

We are located in Mid-Essex, local to Chelmsford, Ingatestone, Billericay, Wickford, South Woodham Ferrers, and Basildon.

🚗Is there parking?

Yes. We have a large free car park.
 
🚻Are there toilets?

Toilets are located inside the visitor centre. 

🐕‍🦺Can we bring a dog?

Assistance dogs are welcome at our events.
