About the event

We'll meet in Leighs Village Hall car park CM3 1NU (what3words: coverage.fruitcake.panicking) at 10.15 am, ready for a 10.30 am departure. Parking is restricted, so the Castle pub's car park, CM3 1ND (what3words: arranger.senders.relocated), is another option. There's very limited parking available on site in Mill Lane.

We’ll walk to the reserve with John Cooke from the Essex Field Club, who will explain what (and not) to do, what (and not) to pick. Around 12.00, we'll return to the village hall for an ID session until around 2.00 pm. No refreshments will be provided, so you're welcome to take a packed lunch. No charge but donations encouraged.

The ground will be uneven with sticky-out branches, possibly fallen trees and damp undergrowth, so long trousers and supportive shoes are recommended.
