About the event

Community Ranger will look into how Essex' mammals meet the challenges of winter. Winter presents numerous challenges to wild mammals in Britain. Cold, food scarcity, and inclement weather make winter the toughest time of year for wildlife, and mammals are no exception.

We look at how terrestrial mammals and bats face winter in temperate climates through hibernation, changes in diet and behaviour, and even seasonal migration, as we look forward to the colder months. This is an updated repeat of a Webinar delivered in 2025, delivered live, though this one is not on YouTube, so come along- your only chance to see! Donations Welcome.
