About the event

Join us at Langdon for our popular Family Forest Fun session! Enjoy swinging in the hammock, be creative with our craft, dig in the mud kitchen, look for minibeasts, and so much more! We will finish the session around the campfire (weather permitting - we will send an email of food suggestions for toasting after booking).   

This event is suitable for children aged 5+. Please come appropriately dressed for the weather, as we will be outside for the whole session. Advance booking is essential, and children must always be accompanied by an adult.

FAQs

🎫 Who requires a ticket?

All children aged 5 years+ will require a ticket to attend. Adults do not require a ticket.

📍Where do we meet? 

Meet in the Community Garden, which is just opposite the car park entrance.

🥾What should we wear? 

Most of our events are fully outdoors, and you need to come dressed for the weather.  We recommend layers (top and bottom), which can get mucky.  Wellies (with thick socks) and waterproofs are a good shout if you have them. 

🌍Where are you based? 

We are located just off the A127 near Basildon.

🚗Is there parking? 

Yes. We have a large free car park.

🚇Can we get to you on public transport? 

Yes.  We are just under 2 miles walk from Laindon Station and under 1 mile walk from the nearest bus stop.

🚻Are there toilets and a shop?

Yes. Our Langdon Nature Discovery Centre has toilets, a shop and a café serving hot and cold drinks, snacks, ice cream and light lunches.

🐕‍🦺Can we bring a dog? 

Assistance dogs are welcome at our events.
