About the event
Join us this Easter school holiday for a magical session in the woods. Follow a trail to the wonderful woods before listening to our Wilder Learning Officer read an Easter story at the log circle. Then take part in a selection of fun outdoor activities and crafts, and finish with a tasty treat around the cosy campfire(weather dependent). Recommended age from 2 years to 6 years.
Can't make this event? We have lots more fun planned this Easter school holiday. Find another event here!
FAQs
🎫 Who requires a ticket to attend?
Children aged 18 months+ require a ticket to attend. Attending adults do not require a ticket.
📍Where do we meet?
Meet in the Community Garden, which is just opposite the car park entrance.
🔥What should we bring? Is food provided? (For sites with a campfire)
Snack and a drink if you wish. No nuts, please. Weather permitting, we will have a fire, and you are welcome to bring something to toast. Things we like to toast: toasted tea cakes, brioche, slices of malt loaf, crumpet (some people cut these into triangles), fruit, cooked cocktail sausages, waffles, garlic bread, and small cheese sandwiches. Anything you can warm/toast on a stick, really! We provide toasting forks.
🥾What should we wear?
Most of our events are fully outdoors, and you need to come dressed for the weather. We recommend layers (top and bottom), which can get mucky. Wellies (with thick socks) and waterproofs are a good shout if you have them.
🌍Where are you based?
We are located just off the A127 near Basildon.
🚗Is there parking?
Yes. We have a large free car park.
🚇Can we get to you on public transport?
Yes. We are just under 2 miles walk from Laindon Station and under 1 mile walk from the nearest bus stop.
🚻Are there toilets and a shop?
Yes. Our Langdon Nature Discovery Centre has toilets, a shop and a café serving hot and cold drinks, snacks, ice cream and light lunches.
🐕🦺Can we bring a dog?
Assistance dogs are welcome at our events.
