Heath Fritillary
Belfairs Butterfly Walk, Talk & ID for Adults
Event details
About the event
Join in the fun with our W.o.W. Week of Wildlife!
Have you ever walked around Belfairs Nature Reserve and wondered if there are important species living in your local nature reserve?
Join our Education Officer and learn about the important work at Belfairs to help conserve the Heath Fritillary butterfly and the different plants and species that help this endangered butterfly reach record numbers in the Nature Reserves. We will start with a talk all about the Heath Fritillary butterflies. Then we will go on a guided walk to Belfairs Nature Reserve and Hadleigh Great Wood, where you will gain identification skills for different plants and insects that hopefully help us spot some Heath Fritillary butterflies.
Recommended for Adults and Teenagers, please note that under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
We are also running our Butterfly Butterfly Bonanza event designed for children and families!
We're really excited to share our W.O.W Week of Wildlife with you this May half-term - find more W.O.W events here! W.O.W Week of Wildlife Events
