About the event

In recognition of Mammals Week and the upcoming Hedgehog Awareness Day. We tend to overlook mammals in conservation in the UK, or else treat them as a problem to be solved through fox and deer control measures. Still, in reality, we have a diverse mammal fauna, much of it living unseen, moving through our gardens at night, or in the undergrowth. Join me for a joyful exploration of our native and introduced mammals in Essex, and learn how to welcome some of these charismatic characters to our garden spaces, and embrace the privilege of living alongside them in our towns and countryside.
