About the event
In recognition of International Bee Day, we will take a look at gardening for wild native bees, solitary and social. While we are familiar with honeybees, fascinating creatures as they are, they are essentially farm animals, so let us investigate wild bees, their immense ecological importance, and their varied and enigmatic life cycles. South Essex is a global hotspot for solitary bees, so we have a unique opportunity in our area to contribute to their conservation. We will also take a bit of a dive into bee-friendly gardening and look at some of the wild and cultivated plants which we could plant for bees, and discuss the importance of no-mow May.
This webinar is free to attend, and at checkout, you’ll have the option to select a free ticket or contribute a donation of your choice. All donations are greatly appreciated and help support our vital conservation work. We thank you for your support!
