Nature reserves are vital places for wildlife to flourish, but to realise their full potential, we must be led by data. We are working to be fully evidence-led, applying science and sound knowledge to our choices about habitat and species management, whether on our reserves or advising others across the county.

Essex Wildlife Trust is an accredited Conservation Evidence Champion.
Essex Wildlife Trust has a dedicated team of ecologists and GIS specialists working alongside our conservation team. We also collaborate with other organisations and universities conducting more detailed research on some of Essex’s most special species.
