About the event

You will learn about hedging species, different techniques and how to lay a hedge using a combination of hand held tools such as bow saws and bill hooks, whilst using natural materials to hold and position the hedge.

Whether it’s your garden hedge, a hedge on your smallholding, or a skill you would just like to learn, this course is an ideal place to start. Hedge laying is a traditional rural skill, creating a stock-proof field boundary that is a useful living barrier as well as improving the value of a hedge for wildlife.
