About the event
Come and enjoy a weekly wildlife focused meander where we’ll take it from the basics and explore a focus each week to kickstart a community of wild wanderers. We welcome all levels of nature knowledge just bring a willingness to learn alongside one another and share. Each session we’ll pause to share a cup of tea/coffee or beverage of your own choice and take a mindful moment to reflect as a community.
Adults and teens are welcome, but under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult. This is part of a sequence of events, so you are welcome to choose to attend all, or some of the sessions depending on your preference.
The plan*:
23rd July- Zooming in to nature: A focus on the smaller details of nature, to mindfully draw ourselves away from everyday life, and into the natural world. See how the miniscule makes up the bigger picture.
30th July- Signs of summer: In the midst of summer, who’s a sunshine seeker in the natural world? We’ll see who is out and about enjoying their own summer holidays.
13th August- The wonderful world of plants: As the season changes, we’ll explore the wildflowers, trees and more at Tiptree heath and see what we can find out, from fact to folklore.
20th August- Attendees choice: What would you like to see or experience in nature? Bring your questions, and suggestions as we go with the flow of our wandering.
*Like all the best laid plans, we welcome distractions, tangents and deviations along the way depending what we see and enjoy.
