About the event
Come over to Hanningfield this Easter school holiday to see the signs of spring and emerging colours! We will wander around the reserve searching for bugs and watching for the birds. Alongside the guided walk, you will also have the opportunity to get creative with a hands-on spring-themed craft. Suitable for ages 5+.

๐Where do we meet?
Meet on the mound behind the visitor centre.
๐ฅพWhat should we wear?
Most of our events are fully outdoors, and you need to come dressed for the weather. We recommend layers (top and bottom), which can get mucky. Wellies (with thick socks) and waterproofs are a good shout if you have them.
๐Where are you based?
We are located in Mid-Essex, local to Chelmsford, Ingatestone, Billericay, Wickford, South Woodham Ferrers, and Basildon.
๐Is there parking?
Yes. We have a large free car park.
๐Can we get to you on public transport?
We are accessible by bus, with bus stops outside the centre and 10 minutes away. We are not accessible by train.
๐ปAre there toilets?
Toilets are located inside the visitor centre.
โIs there a Cafe or shop?
The visitor centre has a shop and cafรฉ serving hot and cold drinks, snacks, ice cream, and light lunches.
๐โ๐ฆบCan we bring a dog?
Assistance dogs are welcome at our events.
โฟIs it wheelchair accessible?
Our reserve pathways are flat and easy to push wheelchairs, but our activities mound can be slippery, which could make it difficult to push wheelchairs up.
