About the event

Enjoy sweep netting in the meadow, a buttefly themed natural craft and a self-guided walk - how many different butterflies will you find? Suitable for ages 3+ accompanied by an adult.

Session times: 10am-11am, 11am-12pm, 12pm-1pm (please arrive at the beginning of the session)

Tickets are £5.64 per child. Advance booking is essential.

📍Where do we meet?

Follow signs from the Nature Discovery Centre to the meeting point.

🌳Will the activities take place outside? 

Yes,  we will be outside for the whole session.

🌍Where are you based? 

We are located just off the A127 near Basildon.

🚗Is there parking?    

Yes. We have a large free car park.

🚇Can we get to you on public transport? 

Yes.  We are just under 2 miles walk from Laindon Station and under 1 mile walk from the nearest bus stop. 

🥾What should we wear? 

Please dress for being outside - lots of layers. If it has been raining, the paths will be muddy and have lots of puddles, so wellies or boots are advised.

🚻Are there toilets?

Yes. Our Langdon Nature Discovery Centre has toilets (including an accessible toilet and baby changing facilities)

Is there a café?

Yes. Our Langdon Nature Discovery Centre has toilets, shop and café serving hot and cold drinks, snacks, ice cream and light lunches.

🐕‍🦺Can we bring a dog? 

Assistance dogs are welcome at our events. 

Will the event be accessible?

Some areas of the reserve are accessible in a wheelchair. Please have a chat with us to discuss your needs.
