About the event

Adventure through the woodland and the meadows with our sweep nets and bug hunting kits. Learn the difference between a cricket and a grasshopper, count the spots on a ladybird and check out the feathery antennae on a butterfly.  Use our ID charts to work out what you have discovered.  Expert guidance and all equipment provided.  

Session times: 10am - 11am, and 11:15am - 12:15pm (please arrive at beginning of session)

Tickets are £5.64 per child. Advance booking is essential.

📍Where do we meet?

This event takes place near the Cottage Car Park for Thameside Nature Discovery Park. This is at the entrance of the site before you go through the gate.

🥾What should we wear?

Most of our events are fully outdoors and you need to come dressed for the weather.  We recommend layers (top and bottom) which can get mucky.  Wellies (with thick socks) and waterproofs are a good shout if you have them.

We are located in Thurrock, between East Tilbury and Stanford-le-Hope

🚗Is there parking?

Yes. We have a large free car park.

🚻Are there toilets?

Yes. There is a toilet located in the cottage.

🐕‍🦺Can we bring a dog?

Assistance dogs are welcome on our events.
