About the event

In celebration of Halloween, join our Community Ranger John Attiwell to explore the strange worlds of burying beetles, parasitoid flies and other crawlies, with a reputation for creepiness, and learn about the curious ways in which they live.

Learn about the key roles these creatures play, as carrion beetles bury dead mice and ‘clean up’ their environment, and parasitoid flies regulate the populations of moth larvae which could otherwise defoliate forests, as we approach these unloved creatures with a new and sympathetic lens.
