Corporate team volunteer days
Essex Wildlife Trust gets more enquiries about corporate volunteering than it can accommodate. For team building days the Trust has introduced a charge for groups coming from companies that are not corporate members. The Trust gets many corporate enquiries and we cannot cater for all teams. Charging allows us to cover the costs associated with the administration and organisation of team days and support the work of the charity.
The charge is £1,000 per day for up to 10 people (and £50 per additional person up to 15 people). Platinum corporate members will receive preferential rates.
Your volunteering day will include
Staff member to guide your day and provide training
Public liability insurance for all activities
Teas, coffees and biscuits provided
Typical schedule
Arrive 9.30am
Health and safety and task briefing
10am start on task
Tea break
Continue with task
Lunch break
Afternoon activity
We can tailor these activities and timings according to your needs.
Tasks can include
Building fencing
Coppicing and woodland management
Removing invasive species
Litter picking
Tree planting
Pathway and steps maintenance
And much more depending on the site
Tasks are only available at certain times of the year and are weather and location dependent. Our busiest time of year is Winter work season from September – March, outside of this is breeding bird season where we keep activities that may disturb breeding birds to a minimum.
