About the event
In relaxed outdoor settings, we run a number of home education groups where children can be themselves and work together to develop social skills and to foster a deep understanding of wildlife and a love of the natural world. Activities may include den building, woodland crafts, using tools, and fire lighting.
The sessions run weekly during term time— every Wednesday from 16 September to 21 October (6 weeks)
The 1-week ticket is available for 7 October only. If you would like to attend on a different date, please click on your chosen date below.

🎫 Who needs a ticket to attend?
Home Education at Grange Farm is suitable for school-aged children (4 years+). Siblings under 4 years are very welcome to attend, but they do not require a ticket.
👨👩👧👦 Do you offer a sibling discount?
Yes. We offer a 10% discount on sibling block bookings.
📍Where do we meet?
Meet outside the Nature Discovery Centre, which is a short walk from the car park and main entrances.
🌳Will the activities take place outside?
Yes and we will be outside for the whole session.
🌍Where are you based?
We are located between Hornchurch, Upminster, and Romford.
🚗Is there parking?
Yes. We have a large free car park.
🔥What should we bring?
You are welcome to bring a snack and a drink if you wish. No nuts, please.
🥾What should we wear?
Please dress for being outside - lots of layers. If it has been raining, the paths will be muddy and have lots of puddles, so wellies or boots are advised.
🚻Are there toilets?
Yes. Our Ingrebourne Valley Nature Discovery Centre has toilets (including accessible toilet and baby changing facilities)
☕ Is there a café or a shop?
The visitor centre has a shop and café serving hot and cold drinks, snacks, ice cream, and light lunches.
🐕🦺Can we bring a dog?
Assistance dogs are welcome at our events.
