About the event

Go wild in the deep, dark woods, master your bushcraft skills and get creative with spooky autumnal crafts! There will be a chance to mix potions, whittle wands, learn fire lighting and have a tasty treat on the fire.

Suitable for 2 years to 12 years. Advanced booking is essential and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

🎫 Who needs a ticket to attend?

All children 2 years and above require a ticket.

📍Where do we meet?

Please park in the car park and then head towards the main building (white farmhouse), and we will meet at the picnic benches next to the mini roundabout.

🌳Will the activities take place outside? 

Yes, we will be outside for the whole session.

🌍Where are you based? 

We are based in North Essex, local to Colchester.

🚗Is there parking?    

Yes, we have a large free car park.

🥾What should we wear? 

Please dress for being outside - lots of layers. If it has been raining, the paths will be muddy and have lots of puddles, so wellies or boots are advised.

🚻Are there toilets?   

Yes, we have toilets 

☕Is there a Cafe or shop? 

There is not a café or a shop at Abbotts Hall, but you are more than welcome to bring snacks with you.

🐕‍🦺Can we bring a dog? 

Assistance dogs are welcome at our events. 

♿Are there accessible pathways? 

The site is mixed terrain, with areas of grass, woodland, concrete and mud. Please contact us if you have any concerns.
