Join us on a guided walk to spot our Summer wading birds in their Summer finery.
About the event
Hamford Water is an important wintering site for many wading birds - the muddy salt marsh being full of invertebrates on which they feed. The winter plumage for many is dull brown and grey.
However, many of the birds freshly returned from breeding in the high Arctic still retain their spectacular breeding plumage. This lasts for just a couple of weeks and this walk is a great opportunity to view these birds in their Summer finery.
Views are often distant so binoculars are a must, but your guide will have a telescope, giving the best views possible.
This walk follows the sea wall, we should be able to do the full route weather depending, around 5 miles in total.
