Braintree Local Group are looking for a Chairperson.

The Trust has 12 Local Groups who raise the profile of the Trust in their communities and have always been at the core of the Essex Wildlife Trust's work. Local Groups organise a programme of events such as nature reserve open days, evening talks, visits to local nature reserves and work parties. 

Role of Chairperson

The Chair represents Braintree Local Group and acts as a contact point with the Trust staff, other organisations and the general public.  The Chair leads the Local Group committee, chairs committee meetings and is present at Braintree Local Group events whenever possible.  The Chair represents the Local Group at the Trust’s Local Group Forum and reports back on Local Group Forum matters to the rest of the committee.
