About the event
A beach based session looking in the shore pools for shell dwelling creatures and searching for seashells along the shoreline. Identify and learn about some of the fascinating creatures that make these shell their home. Find a treasured shell or two to and have a go at using our hand drill tools to make a necklace or shell decoration to take home.
Car park is managed by TDC, parking charges apply. On arrival, please check in at the centre before heading to the beach.
The event is split between two sites with activities on the beach and at the Naze Discovery Centre. There is a short walk between the two sites. This event is regrettably not fully accessible - the beach is accessed by several flights of steep stairs, there is no access for wheelchairs or pushchairs to the beach. The event will be held outside, please dress appropriately for the weather. Due to the outdoor nature of the event all activities are subject to change. Children must be supervised by their attending adult at all times. Toilets and refreshments are available at the centre.
